I grew up in Swea City and graduated from North Kossuth in 1993. I attended Northwestern College and earned a degree in Elementary Education with endorsement in Reading and Early Childhood. My first teaching job was in Keshena, WI, on the Menominee Indian Reservation. After two years of teaching 5th and 6th grade there, I moved to Swea City to teach middle school reading and computers. Over the last nine years, I have taught kindergarten, Reading Recovery, Title I reading, computers and middle school reading. Currently, I am a guided reading teacher and the technology coordinator for our district.
My family consists of three sons, Kadin, Kolton, and Kyan and my husband, Brooks. Together we enjoy spending time in Wisconsin over the summer, playing on playgrounds, camping, reading, and cooking. When I am not busy with the family, I enjoy scrapbooking.
