I was born and raised in Fergus Falls, MN and have a mother who is a career elementary teacher. From my sophomore year in high school I knew I wanted to be a social studies teacher and coach. I came to Swea City because this is my wife's hometown. She teaches at NSK, too. We have three sons Kadin-5, Kolton-4, and Kyan almost 1. I enjoy my various classes at NSK as well as being the Quiz Bowl team advisor. I am now in my 11th year teaching for the North Kossuth/North Sentral Kossuth School Districts. I enjoy coaching as well. I coach junior high football, varsity assistant basketball, and varsity boys & girls golf. My educational philosophy is to challenge students to be better readers, writers, speakers, and thinkers. With these four skills, I believe students will be successful in life. As well as the previous responsibilities, I have recently completed an all-social sciences endorsement so I am now certified in all the subjects that I teach.
