Apply for free and reduced lunches
July 15, 2010
There are applications for free and reduced lunches for your students under the student forms tab on this web site. Families who qualify are encouraged to take advantage of this federal program that provides student lunches for free or at a reduced cost. One of the things that helps generate additional funds for various school programs is the percentage of students that use the free and reduced lunch program. The higher the percentage, the more funding is available. One example is the federal eRate program. A higher percentage of students on free and reduced lunches means a higher percentage of our monthly internet and telephone bills are paid by the eRate program. Our hot lunch program also receives funds based on free and reduced lunch participation. It is an advantage to your family AND to the school programs to take advantage of this federal program. School employees who have access to the list of students participating in this program is severely restricted by law, and there is no difference in the lunch line or with the lunch tickets themselves. You may print this application form and bring to registration - only one form is needed for families with multiple children attending either schools. If you have any questions, please contact the schools.
