- First Friday Breakfast Club Scholarship
At least one $3,000 scholarship will be awarded to Iowa HS seniors who have contributed to reducing homophobia and increasing awareness and tolerance of gay and lesbian issues in his/her high school community. Deadline: March 31, 2001.
- Matthew Shepard Scholarship
Granted to distinguished HS students who are openly gay and lesbian, graduating from an Iowa high school and attending Iowa State University, The University of Iowa or the University of Northern Iowa. Up to three scholarships will be awarded. Scholarships will pay for tuition, books, and fees. Each scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Deadline: March 31, 2001.
